David has deep roots in Silicon Valley with focus on Internet scale and big data ventures. Longstanding relationships across Caltech, Global 500 corporations, startups and VC communities. and a passion for translating high-risk research into impactful technologies and businesses. David began his career advising global Fortune 500 companies while at PwC (Paris) and Bain (Boston & NYC), then he joined Google as an early product manager to explore and launch new business lines. After selling Disqus in late 2017, he created a new venture capital firm, Freeflow. Freeflow focuses on identifying ground-breaking research in high quality scientific communities underserved by venture capital, starting with Caltech, that can impact the world for good (e.g. health of people and the planet). He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Family Promise, a national non-profit focused on family homelessness with 190+ affiliates throughout the US. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and three kids, Lulu (9), Leo (8) and Fiona (5). He enjoys being active outdoors biking, surfing, snowboarding and hiking.
